Commencement celebrates the achievement of our medical students earning their MD degree and marks the beginning of their professional careers. The University of Florida’s first class graduated in 1960 with 40 medical students. Today, our graduating class is over three times that size, and the College of Medicine now has more than 4,000 alumni.
