hOW TO apply


1. Before you apply

  • Verify Institutional Agreement
    • Ensure that your institution has an active affiliation agreement with the University of Florida College of Medicine (UFCOM). Affiliated University & College Map
    • Please send your application at least 45 days before you want to start.
  • Prepare the Following Documents:
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    • USMLE Step 1 Score Report
    • USMLE Step 2 Score Report (optional)
    • Medical School Transcript
    • Letter of Interest
    • Requirements form sign by your institution.
    • UF Health English Language Proficiency Form sign by your institution.
    • Application Fee Receipt 50 USD – Link inside the survey.

2. Submit your application

3. After submitting your application.

  • Department Review
    The department will review submitted applications and schedule rotations based on availability.
  • Notification of Decision
    The VSLO College of Medicine Coordinator will inform the student of the department’s decision via email.
    • If approved, the coordinator will send the Visiting International Medical Student Application Packet via email.
  • Completion of Application Packet
    All approved students must complete and return the Visiting International Medical Student Application Packet in full.
  • Final Review and Processing
    The College of Medicine Coordinator will review and process the completed packet.
    • Note: Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • Important Deadline
    All required documents must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the rotation start date and all fees pay at least 7 days prior the start of the rotation.
